How can I automatically set security level for a Ticket?

Franck LAMBEZ March 31, 2016

Hello,

JIRA v6.4

I am trying to set a security level depending on a custom field (Yes/No).

I set a Workflow condition:

"Set issue security level depending on provided condition"

But I don't even know how to see the security level of my Ticket.

I can check It didn't worked. But I can't even manually modify the security of my ticket.

My user is granted to modify security.

Do I have to modify something on my Jira?

Can you help me please?

Regards,

Franck

Thank you Fidel,

But I can't use JIRA Workflow Toolbox.

And secondly, the feature exists:

But :

1) it doesn't work

2) I can't reach the field 'security' (to check its value)

Is there a parameter to set?

Hi Frank,

You can do it using "Set a field as a function of other fields" post-function provided by JIRA Workflow Toolbox using the following configuration:

Note that in this example:

  • My Yes/No Field is the name of the custom field your security level depends on.
  • Security Level A and Security Level B are the names of 2 security levels in your Security Scheme.

Regards,

Fidel
