Hourly scheduling doesn't appear to work properly in Portfolio.

Josef Karthauser December 1, 2015

I've got a portfolio plan that is Kanban and is counting in hours.

I've got a team with one user, who has a weekly working hours of 40, and the plan is set to have 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

I've got a number of 1 hour stories, which are scheduled today.

However, portfolio is only putting 3 hours of work in today, and punting the rest of the 1 hour stories to tomorrow.

Why doesn't portfolio schedule 8 hours of work today?

I've made sure my user isn't in any other teams or plans, and I've tried playing with the number of hours that that user works and the number of hours in a day, but I can't seem to get a sensible schedule to pop out.

Help! Thanks smile.

Joe

Hey Joe, this doesn't sound right indeed, but hard to answer/analyze without an export of the actual plan - could you reach out via support.atlassian.com with a plan export (Plan > Export...). There is an option to "Render data anonymous" so there is nothing sensitive sent anywhere. Like this our support team can get back with a specific answer. Thanks!
