Have some large projects with old markdown renderer, no longer supported and want to upgrade to wiki markup

Has anyone done this, what's the best way?  database update? export XML and reimport?

Markdown is causing odd failures and upgrade problems so it needs to go!

Apologies Nic Brough! was just searching  to start with, didn't realise it had logged me in and entered a question - Markdown!!! would have been more appropriate.  Any help appreciated.
