I have tried Atlassian cloud version of jira SD and it does parse my rtf/html messages correctly. Those requests maintain formatting and pictures in the body of the email as description of the issue.
I also have been evaluating server version of the jira service desk, but it doesn't behave similarly. Ie rtf/html email request loses formatting and pictures hence the request isn't readable.
Is there a difference between cloud and server jira service desk versions in this regards? Is there a configuration that I need to deal with to address the issue on the server version of jira service desk?
