Field Configuration vs Field/Screen Associations

I want to make a field required.  The field I want to make required is associated with screens within my project and my project's Field Configuration/Scheme.  The field is also associated with screens that belong to other projects and projects that are outside my Field Configuration.  If I make the field required within my Field Configuration, will the field only be required for projects associated with my Field Configuration, or, will the field become required on all screens where the field is present?

Hi Katherine,

it will be required only for the issue types and projects associated with the given field configuration. That is why such mapping exists in the field configuration scheme and the scheme itself is mapped to a project.
