Error in the log about Issue Tab Panels Plugin in Jira 7.0.10

After 6.4.2-7.0.10 upgrade the following error shows up in the log:

[c.a.j.plugin.issuetabpanel.IssueTabPanelInvokerImpl] showPanel does not implement, com.atlassian.crowd.embedded.api.User). This likely means the plugin is not compatible with this version of JIRA.

Please advise how to fix it.

You need to upgrade the add-on to a version that works for JIRA 7.0.10.  There may not be one available, in which case, it would be better to disable the add-on until there is one.

Isn't this a system plugin, hence belonging to the application itself? Does it mean that a separate add-on upgrade is necessary for system plugins in general?

No, it's not a system addon - they all have keys starting with com.atlassian, not c.a.j.

At a guess, I'd say it's the Gerrit add-on, but that's from a very quick look at google.

Gerrit add-on is absent in the JIRA instance.

Ok, then you need to work out what add-on c.a.j.plugin refers to.  Take a look in the plugins directory in the installation and see if there's anything in there.  Also, try increasing logging - add c.a.j.* as it's own line in the admin->logging and profiling section.

My co-worker recommended to disable 'Links Explorer HTML 5' plugin version 2.0.0 by DocMiner. And it seems like the error does not appear in the log anymore.

What is the risk of having this plugin disabled?

Ah, well hunted down! (although it might be interference between that and whatever the c.a.j.plugin is)

No risk in having it disabled, but you do lose the functions it provides.
