Hi, I'm trying to set up an Incoming Mail Handler to put emails straight in as tasks to one of my JIRA Core projects.
I've read the page here but can't seem to get it working: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/creating-issues-and-comments-from-email-779288896.html
Currently I have POP Mail Server host mailstore with our atlassian domain only.
I have one Mail Handler for receiving comments from emails 'no-reply@'
I have added a second mail handler with a made up email '@sparesfinder.atlassian.net' but when I send mail to this email address it does not appear in my JIRA Core Project.
I feel like i'm missing some simple logic here but can't figure out what it is.
Thanks in advance!
Hi @sparesFinder,
Can you please reverify the project name and the issue type that you have selected.
And if you haven't provided Default Reporter and Create Users is off. Messages sent by unknown users will be silently ignored.
Please check the configuration and let us know if you are able to see issues getting created in the required project.
Regards,
Priyanka
Hi,
I checked again the setup - I have a correct project name & issue type for the project - I have put a default reporter.
I sent a test email and immediately got a bounce back from bounce@atlassian.net:
