Due date should have value to display but where do I put value ?

Hello.
I created issues and when I do not put a value for Due date immediately at creation then I cannot see the field Due date anymore and cannot put any value.

When I check Where is my field? in Admin menu then JIRA tell me this :

 The 'Due Date' field is not present on the form you are viewing :

The field 'Due Date' does not have value for issue SWD-24 and will not be displayed on the view issue page. Set value for that field so that it shows up.

OK so how do I set a value of a field I cannot access ?

Click "edit" from the actions menu and set the date, then it will appear on view.
