Does atlassian have a recommendation for the read time out for user directories?

We're having an issue where the read time out is occurring before users can sign into JIRA. Is there a recommendation as to what the read time out for LDAP should be within the User Directories advanced setup?

We recommend the default timeout of 120 as mentioned in the documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver070/connecting-to-an-ldap-directory-749382818.html 

It depends on multiple factors, if it needs to be increased for example, in case of a huge users base.
