DVCS is an abbreviation for what?

What does DVCS mean? Distributed version control system? Is the term so ubiquitous that it doesn't need to be mentioned in the documentation?

You've answered your own questions there wink

Much as I complain about people using unfamiliar acronyms here, without explanations, there are some that are ubiquitous enough within the context that they generally don't need explanation.  DVCS is probably an edge case - it might lose a complete new starter, but anyone with a recent experience of software development would land on Distributed Version Control System quite quickly.
