Custom Field set so that it is Alpha Numeric and the Alpha is Capitalized automatically

We have a Custom Field that is a Text Field (Single Line).  It is named Manufacture Number.  This is where they enter the Alpha Numeric Serial Number. (SNHX1000015) Similar to that. What we are wanting is that when the enter the serial number that it capitalized automatically.  Right now we have them being entered all different ways and want a standard that the system helps us with.  Can this be done?

We are using JIRA Cloud.

Hi Dana. Bumping with comments will have no effect with Confluence Questions – All questions are sorted by either recency or general activity.

To continue, JIRA Suite Utilities is pre-installed in JIRA Cloud. You may have to enable this under Manage Add-ons. This add-on provides a validator to JIRA Workflows – You should use the Regular Expression Validator to achieve this. You can enforce an entry on a Workflow Transition with this validation.
