Created vs Resolved gadget: is it possible to not display current month data?

Olivier Desilets November 10, 2017

Hi, we are using the create vs resolved gadget to display monthly incidents created vs resolved.  When presenting to our upper management, we would prefer not to display this month as sometime the data is not relevant.  Is it possible to remove current month from the gadget graph?  See attached picture.jira question.png

We already tried filtering out all issues created / closed in currentMonth() but doesn't work.

Hi @Olivier Desilets,

You've done the best you could with this gadget. The current month will always be displayed, with zero values if you exclude this month's data.

You can create a similar chart with the Recently created chart. It has the same problem, but as it uses bars instead of lines, it shows nicer on a dashboard (and relates open issues to the date they were created).

These gadgets are quite interesting and powerful by themselves already, but if you really want full control over reporting like this, you might want to have a look at reporting apps like these

Hi @Olivier Desilets

With our add-ons Great Gadgets for Jira Server and  Great Gadgets for Jira Cloud you can have a Created vs Resolved chart on your dashboard that allows selecting a time range, so you can exclude the current month.

In the 10 gadgets offered by the add-on, there is a Release Burndown / Burnup Chart gadget than can be easily configured as Created vs Resolved Chart. Just take a look at this example.
