Create generic tasks when creating a project

Lloyd Ramsamy July 21, 2016

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to have a set amount of tasks be automatically be created whenever I create a new project?

I need it to be setup in a way that the moment a project is created, these tasks with a description is automatically done.

Is this possible on Jira?

Hi Lloyd

it is possible and requires script runner plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.onresolve.jira.groovy.groovyrunner/server/overview.

  1. create a 'primer' project and add necessary tasks
  2. create next projects using built-in groovy script 'Copy project': https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Built-In+Scripts#Built-InScripts-CopyProject
