Hi Team,

Could you please confirm if a list of values are stored as an array of values or as a single value with concatenated values within it in JIRA.

Eg:

An array

•        1.2.3.4 •        2.3.4.5 •        1.2.3.5 •        1.2.4.8

or

a string

“1.2.3.4, 2.3.4.5, 1.2.3.5, 1.2.4.8”

Regards

Varun N

Hi Varun,

Multiple select/checkbox customfield values are stored as different row entries in the CUSTOMFIELDVALUE table. For example, an issue which has selected 2 options of cf X has 2 entries in the CUSTOMFIELDVALUE  table and each value is stored in its STRINGVALUE column.

You can validate this behaviour by installing the Home Directory and DB Browser for JIRA and playing around.

Regards,

Peter
