Can you create a workflow that auto populates a sub task based on the Parent task?

Ben Weisman August 16, 2016

I have a large amount of tasks types and all of them need to auto populate a sub-task that mirrors the parent. Is there any way to make a post function that post a specific sub-task based on the parent task that's being created? That way I don't have to create a separate workflow for every single task type.

Thanks.

You can use the Create Subtask post function from Create on Transition for JIRA.

Yes you can but you will need to write some codes for it or much better can some add-ons to do it for you. Try the JIRA ScriptRunner. It was free before but it's a paid plugin now.
