Can't activate subscriptions on Jira Cloud

Hi, we're currently evaluating All-In-One JIRA Reports on JIRA Cloud, but we can't get subscriptions to work.  We keep getting errors notifying us we need to set up application links, but the docs are clearly out of date and don't apply to the current JIRA admin workflow.  Please advise.
