Hi,
Is there a way to create burndown chart based only on selected User Stories from Active Sprint?
We are using JIRA dashboard as a Scrum board and sometimes we are not giving commitment on all User Stories that are included in Active Sprint. In such cases there is no need to include such User Stories on burndown. Moreover such burndown (that includes not commitment User Stories) is misleading.
Best Regards,
Tomek
Hi Tomek,
I don't think it is possible, why don't you just remove the unwanted stories from the sprint to the backlog. Besides the burn-down they will create other issues as well.
Cheers,

First, why will you put uncommitted Stories to an Active Sprint? Just remove it from there, it's already misleading that it is in an active sprint what more in the burndown. Just remove them.

Yes, you are right but our case is more complex then it seems.
We are giving commitment to Product Owner on User Stories but we also can work on Individual Goals and Improvements. Although we are not giving commitment for PO on these two things as for PO they are not important we still want to track such things on board.
This goes to my problem, there is commitment for PO and Inter Scrum commitment where Inter Scrum commitment of course includes commitment given for PO. Question is, if there is a way to somehow separates these two commitments on burndown.

Tomek

Just use a separate board to display them, I suggest a Kanban Board. The JIRA burndown chart will always include all issues on a selected sprint.
