I received an email from you saying: "JIRA is the project tracker for teams building great software. Log in now to track your issues and tasks, collaborate with your team, and stay on top of project activity." There was a green button saying "Set My Password". When I click on it I go to a website that says this:
REQUEST DENIED. Refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CLOUDKB/JIRA+and+Confluence+Cloud+os_username+and+os_password+embedded+in+URL+no+longer+available for details.
I'd love to sign up with this, how do I do it?

It's unlikely to be from "us" - we're a community of end users of Atlassian software.
You probably need to contact the owner of the system that sent it, rather than us.
Hi Mike,
JIRA had to remove the ability to login with URL params, as explained in the link in the error message you are seeing.
However: it seems that JIRA itself still seems to try to use that login method sometimes.
In particular, in the onboarding email for new users.
There is a bug raised to fix this:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-64048
But, unfortunately this is too late for you

Hi Mike,
You should be able to set your password by using the password reset link at the bottom of the same notification.
This is also mentioned in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-64048
Cheers,
Dario

I have multiple projects that use variations of the same base workflow. The variations depend on the requirements of the project or issue type. The variations mostly come in the form of new statuses ...
