Backslash asterisk only preserved in text editing mode, dropped when switching to visual

A super small bug, but, anyway, maybe someone will fix it eventually.

I want to display an asterisk (*) before and after a name in a ticket description, which actually works fine in text mode when I precede it with a backslash. Saved in text mode, no problem, it is correctly shown in the ticket. However, as soon as the description is edited even just once in visual editing mode, the backslash is automatically deleted, and the word or phrase once surrounded by \* thus becomes a normal bold-faced text when saved.
