Assignee not assigning to user in transition, why could this be?

Hello,

I have a screen with Assignee as an option, however, it is not assigning to user selected. The default assignee shows myself. I've created a completely new screen and it does the same thing. I have other transition screens where the Assignee option does work but for this instance it does not.

Any insight?

As a quick check - "Have you checked your post-functions on this transition to see if it is overwriting the change made on the screen with a set value?"

That was it. Some way or another Assign to lead developer was set as a post function.
