Adding a document to the dashboard

I have a request to add a document (Or several) to the dashboard for teams to easily access and reference.

I was thinking of adding a 'text' or 'Introduction' Gadget....to the dashboard

There is also an 'Add item' on the left panel in Projects...Any thoughts?, has anyone tried this

Can you please let us know if you are using JIRA Cloud or server?

For the Cloud version, you have the free app Rich Text Gadget for JIRA Cloud which provides you with a complete text editor to add any documents to your dashboards.

For JIRA server, you can use the free app Custom content for JIRA which gives you the ability to add web pages and images to your Dashboard.

You can use the Add Item option in your project to add shortcuts to webpages in your JIRA site, however, it will not display a text in your dashboard as you described.
