Activity Stream Issue

Jeff Tiffin April 18, 2016

Activity Stream is showing activity on any issue that is completely unrelated to the issue at hand. This happens on any newly created ticket, older ticket, etc. No mentions, links, etc on the current issue to any of the older issues in the activity stream.

The Activity Stream has it's own configuration on what it will show. What do you have? Maybe you have configured it to show everything?

Well I am new to JIRA/Confluence administration and am kind of taking this on to fix for my company. I have been researching how to get into the activity stream configuration to verify what we have but am not coming up with any clear answers. I have poked around system and don't see anywhere to configure activity. How does one configure the activity stream?

Hi Jeff, to edit your activity stream:

1) go to your dashboard,
2) on your activity stream gadget, move to the right and with your curser on the bar you will see a small drop down arrow. Click on the drop down
3) if you see "edit" you own the gadget and can edit it. If you don't see "edit" you don't own it and can't edit it.
4) So edit if you have the right permission. You can pick a specific project to follow, etc.

I hope this helps.

John

Thanks for butting in John. You will see this option if you have the correct "System Admin" global permission.
