AD - security group in security group

Hello,

can JIRA get users that are in security group that is in security group?

Example:

In AD (active directory) we have security group "IT" and in that security group we have security groups of others departments. JIRA get only users that are in SC group "IT", not the users that are in departments SC groups.

Thank you,

Kruno

Depending on your AD structure, yes.

First off, enable nested groups in the directory configuration, this is required. Also make sure that the nested security groups are within the base group, and not sorted away by the ldap filter you might have in place. After that, it should work. A snippet of your ldap configuration and scetch of how your LDAP forest is structured will help me help you better. good luck

Kind regards

Jonas

Oh, very simple and it works.

Thank you.
