A 'subtask' option already exists, but it doesn't appear when I create an issue. Why?

Mik Scheper January 5, 2017

This page says to select ⚙→Issue Types→Sub-Tasks to enable subtasks, but when I go to ⚙→Issue Types, 'Subtasks' are already listed. Nevertheless, when I create an issue, 'subtask' is not an option. Why?

Sub-task can be created only in context of parent issue. So select some issue and then create a subtask from its menu:

If it's not there, then check that the project's issue type scheme has at least one sub-task type in it.
