The license could not be installed

We purchased the license:

SEN-xxxxxx Jira Core (Server) 10 Users: Starter License Kulite 07 Aug 2022

Keeping getting: The license could not be installed.


This license is not for the selected product. Please make sure that the license is for the selected product and contact Support if the issue continues.

Hi @Darlene Price , welcome to the Community!

As Nic has mentioned, the license will need to go in the Jira Core box on the Versions & Licenses page in Jira's administration. I see you previously had a license for Jira Software as well (which has since expired) - so if you are on a recent version of Jira, you will want to ensure that the Jira Software box on that page does not contain any license key.

Let us know how things go after checking which boxes are filled in on that page.

Are you definitely putting the licence key into the "Jira Core" licence box, and not Jira Software or Jira Service Management?  Also, what version of Jira Core do you have installed?
