The Atlassian Marketplace server is not reachable. To avoid problems when loading this page, you can

This message is showing up and not able to connect to marketplace. How to connect to atlassian marketplace?

1 answer

@Avi Nash , I have a couple of questions for you:

Are you going directly from a new browser window or from the "Manage Apps" or Find New Apps" section of the Administration page?

Here is a direct link to the Marketplace, can you please verify this is or is not working for you?

Are you getting an error message? If so, please paste it here and let us know what browser you are using.

i'm using google chrome. i'm using Jira version 6.3.12 . I see the options manage add-ons, purchase add-ons and find new add-ons.

@Avi Nash , we need to know if you are getting an error message in order try to troubleshoot it. Could you paste it into a reply?

i'm trying to connect through instance. i was getting error message that atlassian marketplace server is not reachable.

Are you going from one of the options "manage add-ons," "purchase add-ons," and "find new add-ons?"

Yes. i'm using these three options but still not able to connect to Atlassian marketplace.

What happens if you click this link?

Here is why I ask...

If you can get to the marketplace by using the link above, then the problem is with the connection between Jira and the outside world. Most likely that would be caused by an outbound proxy or some other layer between your Jira instance and the Internet.  Here is more information on that:

But...If you can't get to it with that link you may be running into a block on the site from your company.

when i edit the link i was able to get into Atlassian Market Place but still i was not able to update any apps . What changes i need to make in order to Connect with atlassian market place through the instance. Do i need to make any changes in server side. My instance is hosted in Linux Server.

It sounds like there is a proxy or some other layer between your instance and the outside internet. There is good information on how to fix that here:
