There was a time that I was able to configure e-mail servers for JIRA but I don't know how it is missing now!
I searched but the only suggestion I found was about JIRA System Administrators role and global permissions which is not my case.
I can only see Mail Queue and Send Mail links but where is the Outgoing Mail link?
By the way, my JIRA version is a 6.3.14 standalone installations. Thanks in advance for your helps.
Thanks for your fast responses but the problem seems different. Somehow the system starts variables given below set to false:
-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled
-Datlassian.mail.fetchdisabled
-Datlassian.mail.popdisabled
I edited the setenv.sh file JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS= and DISABLE_NOTIFICATIONS sections and now everything seems fine.
Again thanks for your helps!
I can see outgoing mail section at /secure/admin/OutgoingMailServers.jspa, but it's almost blank page. There is only indication whether the outgoing server is on or off and I'm able to disable outgoing server, but there is no option to change any other settings. What I want is to set notification email so I can use my own domain instead of default jira email.

For the mails, the latest version is 5.10, the documentation is : https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-a-server-for-outgoing-mail-151078.html
You need to edit a notification scheme, and set a SMTP server. All the required informations are in the documentations linked above.
Hoping to have helped you !

There is a "Outgoing Mail" section. The shorcut is if you have admin rights to JIRA. just press "g + g") i.e. ("g" twice) and in the popup type "outgoing" and you would be redirected to the right place from any part of JIRA.
