Jira post function to add watchers

I'm looking for help with a script to add watchers as a post function during issue creation.  One that is working with Jira v8 would be great help.  Existing community info is a little dated and I didn't notice and v8 references.

Hi Brent,

You are going to need some type of add-on, either JMWE, ScriptRunner or Automation For Jira. Any of them will work.

You can see this previous post as some guidance.
