Jira Slack - make slack message on /jira create private

It seems that no matter what I do in the slack-subscription-config settings for a connected channel, the /jira create command always notifies the channel about the issue creation. I would like to silence this or make the notification visible only to the person who runs the create command. Is this possible? Am I missing some config option somewhere?

Hey @Jon Dobson !

Currently there's not a configuration option to make the create message ephemeral. You didn't miss a config option. I can see how this might be useful in several contexts though :)

We're currently evaluating how teams using Jira Service Desk specifically might benefit from a more focused Slack integration. I think this might fit the bill for you. If you're interested in getting into the Early Access Program, our product manager @Trevor Thompson would be very interested in setting you up and getting your feedback!
