Image over written in subsequent messages

I am not sure how I can explain this but I will try.

Running JIRA v7.3.6

We have an email address, that when someone sends an email, the email gets added as a comment to our ticket.

It appears that if we receive an email with an image (welcome.jpg - which is a picture of a dog). And then a second email is received with the same file name attached (welcome.jpg which this time is a picture of a cat)., then both the images gets added to "Attachments", but the second email also changes the displayed picture in the first comment.

So when reviewing the comments, the first comment (which should have a picture of a dog) now has a picture of cat.

I am concerned because it affects the integrity of the system.  It can cause confusion as well, because I may look at the first email in Jira and think "this person is crazy.  They said they sent a picture of a dog but it is a cat."

Is there any fix for this?
