Someone closed an Epic because it should have been a user story, but I want to see the requirements that were mentioned in the Epic. How can I see closed Epics?
This is quite late, but just for others' benefit sharing it. Use "type = epic and status = done" for the epics which were closed using the workflow transition, or type = epic and "Epic Status" = done" for the epics closed through the JIRA's inbuilt way.
Epics are issues, just like all the other issue types. Closing one does not hide it (unless your admin has deliberately set up something to do that), so you can still search for it, find it and read it.
