We are developing a chrome extension that will help speed up and enhance interaction with Jira.
We are not very sure of how to go about doing user authentication. Unfortunately, after going through the whole documentation about Connect Apps, Security for Jira Core, etc. there is no clear picture as to how we can enable it.
We tried user impersonation with OAuth (2LOI). But then we're stuck on how to get the user id of the user. There are no clear steps. We have been trying to get our heads around this for about 2 weeks now.
Any technical documentation/guidance will be greatly appreciated.
