Documentation on new avatar resource in JIRA user object ?

From the API changes announcement page page noticing that avatar URL will be removed.

avatarUrlsCurrent avatar URL will be removed following the deprecation period. New avatar resources will be introduced.

Is there a documentation on the new avatar resources that are being added ? Please share pointers to the documentation.

Hello there and welcome to Atlassian Community!

The best documentation to find that will help you with the changes on API, is the one below:
- Deprecation notice and migration guide for major changes to Jira Cloud REST APIs to improve user privacy

Related to avatarurl, I found an answer on our Developer Community where you can also post any question related to the API changes:
- Jira Cloud REST API privacy updates and migration guide
As there is a lot of questions and answers, I'll paste the one related to your question here:

The ‘User object’ changes say nothing about the field ‘avatarUrls’, but when I look at the examples at the bottom of the linked page of the migration guide I see that avatarUrls will be removed from the API response. Is this based on the user’s privacy settings or will avatarUrls be removed in general?

The avatarUrls field will not be removed. The migration guide examples are being updated to reflect that. The only change is that the links in the avatarUrls field will be different, but shouldn’t affect any logic for third party apps.

Hope this helps!
