Can I Add editing permission for some of fields available

There are some fields in the issue that I dont want anyone else to edit.Could you please help me how to restrict the edit access to myself

Hi Reshma,

one way in Jira to achieve this in Jira without the use of apps is to remove the fields from the screen associated with the Edit operation and move them to a different screen that is only available in a transition. You can then move on and restrict the transition to a group of users. But this means no one will be able to edit the fields when viewing the issue.

Hi @Reshma Regi ,

there's no issue field security in Jira. Security is based on the issue, not on a field.

There are some apps for that purpose, but I can't recommend one, because we do not have any of them:
