cloning projects

we have a project of opening stores that contain about 50 issues. This project is repeatable everytime we open a store. How can we create a templete project and then clone the project for each store opening or clone/copy from a previous opening project

One way is to use the ProjectConfigurator plugin. You can export a single project (template) and reimport it. This would overwrite your existing template. To prevent this you should manually modify the export (the hardest part).

OR

Export the relevant information of those 50 issues in a CSV file. Write a script calling
'curl' to create everything from scratch on and on. (over REST API)

OR

Install ScriptRunner. They have a function Clone/Copy Project.

Hi Karen,

other solution is Configuration Manager for Jira app which gives you the ability to clone/copy or move projects between instances.

I suggest you to check CMJ's documentation space and the Project templating (copy/paste) use case.

Best,

Teodora
