Hi everyone
We are getting errors in the board stating that Too many issues are trying to load It will take you eons to scroll through mountains of issues.

Why do you have thousands of issues on your board?  A sprint should only have a manageable amount of issues for the team on the board, which is almost always going to be under 100 for even the largest of scrum teams.

Teams are not the only ones using Jira and there are plenty of use cases where you will need large amounts of issues.

Scrum is also not the only framework and Kanban is a standard in Jira, which can have many issues.

But,

Boards are supposed to be representing a single team's work, and a scrum team should not be taking in thousands of issues into a sprint.

Similarly for Kanban, the bulk of the issues should be in the backlog, you can't tell me a single team needs a board with thousands of in-progress issues on it.

@SATHISH KUMAR Sthere can be many reasons why things take a very long time to load. Here are some easy checks to make that can explain your situation:

  1. The number of issues - When you hit around 1000 issues things tend to slow down quite a bit. In some cases you can mitigate this by adding more cores, but the best solution is to split the board if possible to reduce the number of issues.
  2. The number of custom fields - Adding custom fields will exponential drain your server's resources as it is forced to load more data on load (not the best architecture).
  3. Compexity of your workflow - If you have a lot of statuses in your workflow and many transitions, then that can also affect performance.
  4. Not enough server resources - if your server setup is lacking resources, then you can have bottlenecks in performance that can lead to long lead times. Check your server logs and if it makes sense, upgrade server resources and cores.
  5. Unsynced indexes - If your cores are not properly synced, then you can have problems with filters and searches. Boards are visual representations of filters, wo they would also be affected.
  6. Custom code - Sometimes people add JavaScript and other nonsense to their installations and it can damage them horribly.  Check for any such abomination and remove it to make sure it does not affect performance.

Best of luck and hope you get loading times under control!

Points 2-6 will actually generate different errors to the one quoted here.
