I am constantly frustrated that when web link text has a typo or needs to be changed for any other reason that we are forced to create a NEW one and then delete the original. (And heaven forbid that there's a different typo the second time around because now we have to go through the whole process again!)
I decided to look to see if this had been raised already and it was... in 2015!!! https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-41690
And again in 2016:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-42710
If this also frustrates you, please consider voting on it and adding a comment on one or both of those tickets. The current vote tallies are only at 12 and 20 (respectively) right now and it would be nice to see that rise to a level that would bring it to Atlassian's attention.
It's such low-hanging fruit y'all! How much time could it really take the developers to insert an edit icon next to the delete icon and have that display the text and URL in the same format as when a web link is initially created?
Sigh.
Not too surprised, actually.
And yet fixing one or two of the many such low-hanging UX fruit on a regular ongoing basis would improve the experience for the average user far more than the longer-term work required to support (to use the example of CLOUD-6999) true custom domains.
Atlassian, please add this feature to edit existing web links. A Web link on the card allows our team to quickly access supporting information and improves efficiency across the organization. Thank you.
