When we plan our sprints in the backlog view, I would like a way to quickly find other issues we have in our system that are related (we use component) to an issue that we plan on doing.
Our projects are generally Teams and our Components are usually applications. We manage quite a few components and I like to do a peripheral scan of what other issues are out there we can clean up in the process of doing a story.
I'm continually going to issue filter and typing in: statusCategory!=done and component IN (xyz) which seems clunky and more difficult to get other product managers to do.
For example: the sprint we are starting today has a ticket for a component called Fuel Maintenance. This is an old winform application that we don't touch a lot. I just looked and we have a couple small bugs and another story that we might as well do together.
I was thinking a Component quick filter like the nice ones you added for version, epic, label. It would be even better if I could click an issue and quickly filter the list of issues down to issues with the same component. We include the component on the issue card. If we could just click the component on the issue card, it would auto filter the Component quick filter to the components on the card. This could be done with labels as well. We have labels on our card as well and would love to filter to all my "retire" stories by clicking on the issue label.
