is there a way to export a single project from jira and import that single project into another jira instance

Sriveni Kokkonda November 12, 2014

I have a project in my test environment and i would like to move this project to another JIRA instance. What is the procedure to export a single project from one JIRA instance to another JIRA instance.

It would be really helpful for us.

Thanks,

Sriveni.

I've recently come across an addon that lets you do things in a TST environment and then export the changes to your ACC/PRD server in a packaged way:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.botronsoft.jira.configurationmanager/server/overview

we are currently evaluating if we want to use this too

You have to take a full back up and restore the project that you want to import. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Restoring+a+Project+from+Backup

Your JIRA's and plugins must be on the same version for this to work.
