How to add CC field in open ticket screen?

Karl André Dalby September 21, 2014

We would like to add a CC field in the open ticket screen. Atlassian Support has it, https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/sds/create/other. How can we add this?

We have now added Cc as you explained in the answer. It works for admin users, but not for users created from service desk. Users created from service desk can not find any users when typing in the Cc field. It seems like its the same behavior in Atlassian Support: https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/sds/create/...

We want all users to be able to be able to Cc JIRA users. How can we do this?

Dataloy,

You could try changing the Global Permissions under User Management so that "Anyone" has permission to Browse Users. See if that works.

Thanks. I have added it now. When trying to add a user to Cc in the service desk screen, It does not find any users. When trying to edit an issue and set Cc, it does find users.

The Cc field in Atlassian Support also can not find any users: https://support.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/sds/create/...

This seems to be related to the user logged in for raising a request. I have tested both a user that has been registered using the service desk and an admin JIRA user. When opening a ticket with the admin user, Cc does find users. When openeing a ticket with the user registered through service desk, Cc does not find users.

We want all users to be able to be able to Cc JIRA users. How can we do this?

Hi Karl,

you will need to create a custom field, name it CC and use the type of field user picker
