The first thing you should check is whether you are using a Cloud or Server / Data Center instance of Hipchat. If the URL you are using to connect to Hipchat ends in hipchat.com, then you are using a Cloud instance. In this case, please follow the instructions to reset your password if you do not remember it.
However, if you are using a Server / Data Center version of Hipchat, please contact the system administrator in your company directly. They will be able to assist you by resetting the password directly (in case the email server is not configured).
