The easiest way to get started with HipChat Slash commands is to configure your own via the online wizard:

  1. log into your HipChat group
  2. click on the 'Rooms' tab
  3. click on the desired room link
  4. click on the 'Integrations' link
  5. click on the 'Build your won integration' tile:

  6. You can then configure a single command:

  7. Implement your own micro service to process the webhook payload that HipChat will POST to  the configured URL - you can use whatever technology stack you prefer.

In order to call back into HipChat from the micro service hosted at the configured URL, you probably want to use one of the available HipChat libraries.

For advanced use cases, you might also want to consider building a full fledged HipChat Connect add-on, specifically Adding custom actions to HipChat, which are the more advanced and usable successor of slash commands.

That was great Steffen. can you help me more please.
