quick reply from notification not creating notification at other end

when i send a hipchat message from android 1 to a user on android 2, android 2 makes a notification sound...when android 2 replies through the app, android 1 make a notifcation sound...correct

when i send a hipchat message from android 1 to a user on android 2 and android 2 uses the quick reply (ie replying from the notification and not from within the app), android 1 does NOT get a notification of the reply.

what are we doing wrong.  if we reply from the quick reply, there's no notification of the reply at the other end. if we reply from within the app, there is.

seriously?

we stopped using this software shortly after this went unresolved so i can't confirm whether this is still and issue or not
