hipchat over lan only?

Hello, wondering if HipChat will connect over LAN only - no connection to the internet?

Hi Alex,

Karalee is correct - HipChat Server is self-contained, meaning that it will work for the local network without Internet connectivity.

Keep in mind that some functionality like mobile notifications, video calls and certain integrations that require access to 3rd party services might not work.

If by internet you mean no connection to outside of your network, then yes - https://www.hipchat.com/server

Thanks for your replies. It's video chat I need over LAN only. Will that work? Nick - you said it might not... just need to be sure.

Alex,

Video functionality will not work in a fully isolated environment.
