hipchat documentation applies to beta versions

Brian Baker October 4, 2017

Why does the documentation for Hipchat Data Center apply to the Beta versions?  This makes it incredibly difficult to attempt to install a Production version of DC since the documentation does not apply.

For example, the documentation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/hipchatdc3/deploy-hipchat-data-center-manually-909770912.html  actually applies to version 3.1.0+ Beta as defined here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/hipchatdc3/hipchat-data-center-release-notes-909770898.html  (The latest Production version is 3.0.1 and does contain a setup wizard  - the setup wizard comes in 3.1.0 (which is still beta).)

Hi, Brian.

Thank you for the feedback on the matter regarding the setup wizard for HipChat Data Center documentation. We will reach out to the documentation team to make the appropriate changes to the page to avoid further confusion.

Meanwhile, may we know if you are currently running into any issues on your end while deploying HipChat Data Center?

Thanks, Danial.  We were eventually able to get DC up and running.  We're working through some integration issues with other Atlassian products (BitBucket, Jira) mainly related to SSL.  I'll open up other questions as necessary after reviewing the help articles that pertain to those issues.
