I'd like to get a clarification on a specific feature, whether it exists or not, before recommending HipChat to a company.

I found in the FAQs that video conferencing is currently supported for 1-on-1 chats only. OK.

But what about audio group conferences, like other services allow to do?

Is there a current HipChat version (paid version; either Cloud or Server) which supports audio group conferencing?

Not currently. I think we're going to get that when HipChat integrates their Jitsi based new Video/Screensharing/Audio module, to replace AddLive.
