configuring HAproxy server

I have installed the hipchat server using the AMI image in the AWS development environment.I am trying to publish the URL over the internet.when the client will try to connect to my hipchat server,it will come through the HA proxy server.I wanna know how to configure the server.

the roadblock in my issue is,while configuring the HAproxy,only 443 port can b e exposed over the internet but according to the HipChat server's port requirement 5222 ,5223 etc has to be opened.


can anybody come up with a solution.

That article didnt solve my issue.can you give me some suggestions.




The HipChat VM, as near as I can tell, is not Listening on port 5222 or 5223.  However I can see where the HipChat client is trying to make a connection on 5222.  You can put HAProxy in front as long as HAProxy is not doing a port check on the back-end.
