Hi, 

You can with HipChat Server, which is a self-hosted version of HipChat that is currently in Beta. Here is more context around HipChat Server: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/HC/HipChat+Server

The previous answer has the link to the latest documentation on connecting HipChat Server to LDAP.

Connecting to LDAP is not available for HipChat in the cloud (www.hipchat.com).
