We have our own HipChat Server. Accessing it works fine everytime from browsers. In the latest Windows Desktop app (Version 4.0.1610), a fresh install works fine, but if I quit the app, and start it again, it can't login anymore. I have tried telnet to the server and ports (80,443,5222,5223) everytime and they all connected fine. If I uninstall and reinstall it again, it works fine for the first time again. What might be the problem?
Another problem with this latest version is that when the login fails, there's no way to check the settings. Right clicking on the icon in the WIndows Notification Area shows the context menu, clicking on Settings does nothing.
Fortunately I found an old download of a previous version. But come on Atlassian, this Desktop App needs fixes.

Could you try to install this client on one of the machine and see if it helps to improve the problem. If problem remains, you're likely affected by this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/HCPUB-25 which we're still working on internally and connecting the Windows client to the server via IP address would help to workaround the issue in the mean time.
