Which port the cloud hipchat server tries to connect to jira on-premise?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring JIRA with HipChat

I am using JIRA on my premise and try to integrate with hipchat.com, i am able to get to LIMITED connection (JIRA connects to hipchat.com) but not able to get HipChat server to connect to Jira.  JIRA is using https:8443 port.  Can anybody point out what I should do and how do I get to know what is the issue with this one side of integration.

It worked (with 8443) once I add the trusted SSL certificates.
